How to Create a Course with MCP Using Claude or Grok Bot

If you've connected Wajooba's MCP server to an AI assistant such as Claude or Grok Bot, you can create a course, build its sales page, set up its sections and lessons, and then price and launch it, just by describing what you want.

This page covers everything in How to Create a Course with AI in the Wajooba Admin (Part 1) and How to Launch Your Course in the Wajooba Admin (Part 2), done through MCP.

Before you start: Connect Wajooba's MCP server to Claude or Grok Bot. The server URL is https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp.

How it works

  1. The assistant checks your existing courses so it doesn't create a duplicate.
  2. It creates the course with the name, description, duration and other details you give it.
  3. It builds the course sales page with the sections you ask for.
  4. It creates your sections and lessons in one go, and sets lessons to published or drip if you ask it to.
  5. It sets the course pricing, shows the course on your website, and can create a launch email for you.
  6. It reads the course back to confirm the changes.

Part 1: Build Your Course

StepWhat You SayTools CalledHow It Works
Course setup: find courses"Show me all my courses"list_coursesLists your courses so you can pick one by name.
Course setup: create the course"Create an online course called 'Sample Course' with the short description 'A sample 4-week course for beginners'"list_courses → create_course → get_courseChecks the name isn't taken, creates the course as an online course, then reads it back to confirm.
Course setup: cover image and author"Use https://example.com/cover.jpg as the cover image for 'Sample Course' and set the author to my organization"list_courses → update_course → get_courseSets the cover image from a public image URL and sets the author type.
Course setup: duration"Set the duration of 'Sample Course' to 1 month"list_courses → update_courseUpdates the course duration.
Course setup: hide a course"Hide 'Sample Course'"list_courses → update_courseDisables the course without deleting it.
Course setup: tags and category"Tag 'Sample Course' with 'Sample Tag' and put it in a new category called 'Sample Category'"manage_product_category → update_courseLists or creates the category, then adds the tag and category to the course.
Sales page: build it"Set up the sales page for 'Sample Course' with a split hero banner, About, Modules / Curriculum, Instructor and FAQ"get_skill → list_course_blocks → get_course_template → save_course_templateLoads the course page playbook, checks the allowed sections, and saves the page with the sections you asked for.
Sales page: add more sections"Add a Testimonials section and a course preview Video section to the 'Sample Course' sales page"list_course_blocks → get_course_template → save_course_templateTurns on the new sections and keeps the rest of the page as it is.
Sales page: review it"Show me how the 'Sample Course' sales page is laid out"get_course_templateReturns the page's sections and their content so you can review them.
Lessons: build the outline"Build an outline for 'Sample Course' with 3 sections, 'Sample Section 1' to 'Sample Section 3', each with 3 lessons of about 15 minutes and 2 learning objectives each"list_courses → build_course_outlineCreates all the sections and lessons in one go, with each lesson's description, duration and learning objectives.
Lessons: add a form lesson"Add a lesson called 'Sample Lesson' to 'Sample Section 1' that uses my 'Sample Feedback Form'"list_forms → build_course_outlineFinds the form, then adds a lesson with the Form activity type linked to it.
Lessons: add a quiz lesson"Add a quiz lesson called 'Sample Quiz' at the end of 'Sample Section 1' using quiz ID [your quiz ID]"build_course_outlineAdds a lesson with the Test activity type linked to your quiz.
Lessons: progress tracking and trial access"Make every lesson in 'Sample Course' require Mark complete, and let trial members view the first lesson"build_course_outlineTurns on Track Lesson Progress and Allow Trial Access for the lessons as they're created.

Publish: drip by completion"Release each lesson in 'Sample Section 2' only after students finish the previous one"set_chapter_publish_statusSets the lessons to drip when the previous lesson is completed.

Part 2: Launch Your Course

StepWhat You SayTools CalledHow It Works
Pricing: membership-gated"Make 'Sample Course' membership-gated and attach my 'Sample Membership'"list_courses → set_course_pricingSets the pricing mode to Membership-gated and attaches the membership's plans and plan group, so only people who buy that membership can access the course. There's no tool to list memberships, so give the assistant the membership's plan IDs and group ID, or attach it in the admin.
Pricing: make it free"Make 'Sample Course' free"list_courses → set_course_pricingSets the course payment type to Free.
Pricing: donation"Let students pay what they want for 'Sample Course' using my 'Sample Donation'"list_courses → set_course_pricingSets the payment type to Donation and links your donation.
Pricing: external checkout"Sell 'Sample Course' through an external checkout"list_courses → set_course_pricingSets the payment type to External.
Sales page: pricing section"Update the Pricing section of the 'Sample Course' sales page to say 'Starting from $20' and list what's included"get_course_template → save_course_templateUpdates the text and feature list in the sales page's Pricing section and keeps the rest of the page as it is. This changes what the page says, not the price students pay.
Public enrollment"Show 'Sample Course' on my website so students can enroll themselves"list_courses → update_course → get_courseTurns on Show on website, so students can find the course on your public site and check out on their own, then reads the course back to confirm.
Promote the course"Create an email campaign announcing 'Sample Course' and send it to [email protected]"create_campaign → get_campaign → send_campaignCreates the launch email for that recipient and shows it to you. It sends only after you confirm, because sending can't be undone.

Full Example Prompts

Copy and paste this to build a complete course in one go:

Create an online course in Wajooba called "Sample Course" with the short description "A sample 4-week course for beginners". Set the duration to 1 month, use https://example.com/cover.jpg as the cover image, and set the author to my organization. Then:

  1. Set up the sales page with a hero banner, About, Modules / Curriculum, Instructor, Pricing and FAQ
  2. Build 3 sections, "Sample Section 1" to "Sample Section 3", each with 3 lessons, and make every lesson require Mark complete
  3. Add a lesson called "Sample Lesson" at the end of "Sample Section 1" that uses my "Sample Feedback Form"
  4. Let trial members view the first lesson

Show me the outline and the sales page sections when you're done.

Then use this to launch it:

For "Sample Course" in Wajooba:

  1. Make the course free
  2. Update the Pricing section of the sales page to say "Free" and list what's included
  3. Show the course on my website so students can enroll themselves
  4. Draft an email campaign announcing the course to [email protected], and show it to me before sending

Read the course back when you're done.

Do These in the Wajooba Admin

Some things can't be done through MCP yet. Do these in Products > Courses in the Wajooba admin (see the Part 1 and Part 2 admin guides):

TaskWhy it's done in the admin
Uploading an image, video, audio, PDF or downloadable file (PDF, ZIP, DOCX)The tools take public URLs only. They can't upload files.
Choosing the Color Palette, Page Style and Font PairingThese Style settings aren't part of the sales page tools.
Turning on Upload Homework, Repeat Lesson or Hide from TOCThe lesson tools only cover Track Lesson Progress and Allow Trial Access. Repeat Lesson is what lets members resubmit their work.
Deleting a lesson or sectionThere's no tool for deleting lessons or sections.
Previewing the sales pageClick the eye icon at the top of the course page. The assistant can describe the page layout, but can't show you the live page.
Setting a Standalone price amountThe pricing tool has no amount field. On the Pricing tab, choose Standalone, click + Add and use the Add Membership Pricing wizard to set the payment mode, name, currency, amount and sessions.
Choosing a Membership PageThe pricing tool doesn't set the Membership Page (optional) for the Register button. Choose it under Membership-gated on the Pricing tab.
Adding attendeesThere's no tool for attendees. Use + Add Attendee on the Check-ins tab.
Previewing the course as a memberThe assistant can't open the member view. Preview it from your attendee list in the admin.
Tracking member progressThere's no tool for submissions. Use the Submissions tab (Activities).

Good to Know

TopicDetails
Images and videoUse a public link, such as https://example.com/cover.jpg. The assistant can't upload files from your computer.
Lesson activity typesEach lesson can be Content, Test (a quiz, which needs a quiz ID) or Form (which uses one of your forms).
Publishing and dripThe assistant needs the lesson's chapter ID and the course batch ID. New lessons start as Draft.
Sales page sectionsHero, Course Image, About, Modules / Curriculum, Instructor, Pricing and FAQ are on by default. Video and Testimonials start off until you ask for them. Custom sections can be added more than once.
AuthorTo set a teacher as the author, give the assistant the teacher's ID, or set it in the admin under Author > Teacher.
Pricing modesA course is either Standalone (its own price) or Membership-gated (access through a membership). The assistant can switch the mode and attach a membership, but Standalone price amounts are set in the admin.
Membership IDsThe assistant can't look up memberships. Give it the membership's plan IDs and plan group ID, or attach the membership in the admin.
Email campaignsThe campaign is sent from the sender set up in your Wajooba integrations. Sending can't be undone, so the assistant asks you to confirm first.
DuplicatesAsk the assistant to "check if this course already exists" before creating a new one.

Tips

  • Start with the course name and a clear description of what students will learn. The assistant uses it to write the sales page and outline.
  • Build the outline in one prompt so every section and lesson is created together.
  • Ask the assistant to "show me the outline" or "show me the sales page sections" after each change to check it.
  • Use dummy names like "Sample Course" and "Sample Lesson" while testing, then rename them when you're ready.
  • Publishing a lesson makes it visible to your students, so check the lesson content first.
  • Send a test campaign to your own address, such as [email protected], before sending it to your students.
